The National Air and Space Museum

Hello Parents!!!!

Today we visited the National Air and Space museum. We saw rockets, and spacecrafts, astronaut suits; it was awesome!! We had the opportunity to participate in two fantastic activites that are held at the museum. We did a "Learning Lab" called "Mission to Mars" where, the children were able to discover all the challenges that exist when exploring the planets. We also learned about all the different discoveries that have been made throughout the years by telescopes, and sattelites. Also we became part of teams and designed our own spacecrafts and missions for them. Our hope was that we could travel to Mars
on our spacecrafts!!!!

We also partipated in "Exploring Space". Here we were able to review the information that we had learned back at school about our solar system. This guided tour also allowed us discover a new way to look at the universe. We were able to explore the telescopes and how they helped our country so much with space exploration!

Tomorrow, we are planning on visiting the Capitol Building!!! I'm sure your cannot wait to be updated!!!!
